Sometimes karma moves in ridiculous ways.

Almost anybody who has been snubbed by an ex-partner has probably dreamed of getting their revenge on them one way or another. The thing is that going out of your way to do that usually brings more drawbacks than positives. Moving on is rarely easy, but it really is the only action to be taken when you know that a relationship isn't serving you anymore. If you really want to see their downfall that badly, you have to trust that they will bring it about themselves.

That being said, sometimes a terrible ex will gift an opportunity for vengeance because they simply can't stop themselves from making stupid mistakes. It might even be the kind of situation where you do not even really have to do anything to let it all unfold. Karma may not always be instant, but that only makes it sweeter when it finally comes around. Of course, most well-adjusted people will not want to deal with a toxic former partner if they can avoid it, but it can still be satisfying to watch them trip up. Let's be real, even that probably won't make them think critically about how they treated you.
